M a Ionadab, figlio di Simea, fratello di Davide, prese a dire: «Non dica il mio signore che tutti i giovani, figli del re, sono stati uccisi; solo Amnon è morto; per Absalom era cosa decisa fin dal giorno che Amnon gli violentò sua sorella Tamar.

And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah, David’s brother, answered and said, Do not let my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men, the king’s sons, for only Amnon is dead, for by the mouth of Absalom this has been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.
