“ If robbers came to you during the night, O how you will be destroyed! Would they not steal only enough for themselves? If those who gather grapes came to you, would they not leave some behind?

If thieves had come to thee, if robbers by night, (how art thou cut off!) would they not have stolen they had had enough? If grape-gatherers had come to thee, would they not have left some gleanings?
