Nehemiah 5:15 ~ Nehemia 5:15

T he rulers who were before me made the people work very hard. They took bread and wine from them, besides forty pieces of silver. Even their servants ruled over the people. But I did not do so because of the fear of God.

Ndërsa qeveritarët e mëparshëm që më kishin paraprirë e kishin rënduar popullin duke marrë bukë dhe verë, dhe përveç kësaj dyzet sikla argjendi. Madje edhe shërbëtorët e tyre silleshin si zotër me popullin, por unë nuk veprova kështu, sepse kisha frikë nga Perëndia.
