Nehemiah 1:3 ~ Neemia 1:3

T hey said to me, “The Jews who are left who have returned to the land from Babylon are in much trouble and shame. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down and its gates are destroyed by fire.”

Essi mi dissero: «I superstiti che sono scampati dalla cattività sono laggiú nella provincia, in grande miseria e obbrobrio; inoltre le mura di Gerusalemme sono piene di brecce e le sue porte consumate dal fuoco».
