J oab the son of Zeruiah had begun to number them, but did not finish. Anger came upon Israel because of this. So the number was not put into the book of the chronicles of King David.

Joab hijo de Sarvia había comenzado a hacer el censo; pero no acabó, pues por esto vino el castigo sobre Israel, y así su número no fue puesto en el registro de las crónicas del rey David.
