T hen the king of Babylon led away all who lived in Jerusalem. He led away all the captains, all the powerful soldiers, and all those who were able to make things. He took 10, 000 people away to Babylon. Only the very poor people of the land were left behind.

Nabucodonosor se llevó cautivos a diez mil habitantes de Jerusalén. Todos los príncipes y todos los mejores soldados, y todos los artesanos y herreros, fueron hechos cautivos. En el país sólo se quedó la gente más pobre.
