“ Go, ask the Lord for me and all Judah about the words of this book that has been found. For the Lord is very angry with us, because our fathers have not listened to the words of this book. They have not done all that is written for us to do.”

„Duceţi-vă şi întrebaţi-L pe Domnul pentru mine, pentru popor şi pentru întreg Iuda, în legătură cu ceea ce este scris în această Carte, care a fost găsită. Căci mare este mânia Domnului, care s-a aprins împotriva noastră pentru că strămoşii noştri nu au ascultat cuvintele acestei Cărţi şi nu au împlinit tot ce este scris în ea cu privire la noi.“
