G o, inquire of the Lord for me and for the people and for all Judah concerning the words of this book that has been found. For great is the wrath of the Lord that is kindled against us because our fathers have not listened and obeyed the words of this book, to do according to all that is written concerning us.

„Duceţi-vă şi întrebaţi-L pe Domnul pentru mine, pentru popor şi pentru întreg Iuda, în legătură cu ceea ce este scris în această Carte, care a fost găsită. Căci mare este mânia Domnului, care s-a aprins împotriva noastră pentru că strămoşii noştri nu au ascultat cuvintele acestei Cărţi şi nu au împlinit tot ce este scris în ea cu privire la noi.“
