T hen the king of Assyria came against all the land. He went up to Samaria and kept soldiers around it for three years.

وشَنَّ مَلِكُ أشُّورَ هَجَماتٍ عَلَى جَمِيعِ مَناطِقِ إسْرائِيلَ. ثُمَّ جاءَ إلَى السّامِرَةِ، وَحاصَرَها ثَلاثَ سَنَواتٍ.
