N ow the king of Assyria went throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria and besieged it for three years.

وشَنَّ مَلِكُ أشُّورَ هَجَماتٍ عَلَى جَمِيعِ مَناطِقِ إسْرائِيلَ. ثُمَّ جاءَ إلَى السّامِرَةِ، وَحاصَرَها ثَلاثَ سَنَواتٍ.
