W hen the letter came to them, they took the king’s seventy sons and killed them. They put their heads in baskets, and sent them to Jehu at Jezreel.

فَلَمّا اسْتَلَمَ قادَةُ المَدِينَةِ الرِّسالَةَ، أخَذُوا أولادَ المَلِكِ السَّبْعِينَ وَقَتَلُوهُمْ جَمِيعاً. ثُمَّ وَضَعُوا رُؤُوسَهُمْ فِي سِلالٍ وَأرْسَلُوها إلَى ياهُو فِي يَزرَعِيلَ.
