W hen the letter came to these men, they took the king’s sons and slew them, seventy persons, and put their heads in baskets and sent them to Jehu at Jezreel.

فَلَمّا اسْتَلَمَ قادَةُ المَدِينَةِ الرِّسالَةَ، أخَذُوا أولادَ المَلِكِ السَّبْعِينَ وَقَتَلُوهُمْ جَمِيعاً. ثُمَّ وَضَعُوا رُؤُوسَهُمْ فِي سِلالٍ وَأرْسَلُوها إلَى ياهُو فِي يَزرَعِيلَ.
