T hen Jeroboam built Shechem in the hill country of Ephraim, and lived there. And he went out from there and built Penuel.

وَحَصَّنَ يَرُبْعامُ مَدِينَةِ شَكِيمَ الَّتِي فِي مِنْطَقَةِ أفْرايِمَ الجَبَلِيَّةِ، وَجَعَلَها مَقَرّاً لَهُ. ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إلَى مَدِينَةِ فَنُوئِيلَ وَحَصَّنَها.
