T hen Saul said to his armorbearer, “Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised men come and thrust me through and abuse me.” But his armorbearer would not, for he was greatly afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword and fell on it.

Entonces le dijo a su escudero: «Saca tu espada y clávamela, no sea que estos incircuncisos vengan y me maten, y se burlen de mí.» Pero su escudero no quiso hacerlo, porque tenía mucho miedo. Entonces Saúl sacó su propia espada, y se arrojó sobre ella.
