T hen Saul said to his armorbearer, “Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised men come and thrust me through and abuse me.” But his armorbearer would not, for he was greatly afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword and fell on it.

Saul a zis atunci celui ce -i ducea armele:,, Scoate-ţi sabia, şi străpunge-mă, ca nu cumva aceşti netăiaţi împrejur să vină să mă străpungă şi să-şi bată joc de mine.`` Cel ce -i ducea armele n'a voit, căci îi era teamă. Şi Saul şi -a luat sabia, şi s'a aruncat în ea.
