T herefore the Lord God of Israel says: ‘I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever.’ But now the Lord says: ‘Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.

Prandaj kështu thotë Zoti, Perëndia i Izraelit: Unë kisha shpallur që shtëpia jote dhe shtëpia e atit tënd do të kishin ecur gjithnjë para meje, por tani Zoti thotë: Qoftë larg meje kjo gjë; sepse unë nderoj ata që më nderojnë, por ata që më përçmojnë do të përçmohen gjithashtu nga ana ime.
