F or the poor will never cease from the land; therefore I command you, saying, ‘You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land.’ The Law Concerning Bondservants

The poor will always be in the land. So I tell you to be free in giving to your brother, to those in need, and to the poor in your land.
