A nd the Passover of the Jews was near, and many went from the country up to Jerusalem before the Passover, to purify themselves.

وَكانَ عِيْدُ الفِصْحِ اليَهُودِيِّ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ، فَذَهَبَ كَثِيْرُونَ مِنَ الرِّيْفِ إلَى مَدِيْنَةِ القُدْسِ قَبلَ الفِصْحِ لِيُطَهِّرُوا أنفُسَهُمْ.
