R euben was the firstborn of Israel. The children of Reuben were: of Hanoch, the family of the Hanochites; of Pallu, the family of the Palluites;

كانَ رَأُوبَيْنُ بِكرَ إسْرائِيلَ. هَؤُلاءِ هُمْ نَسلُ رَأُوبَيْنَ: مِنْ حَنُوكَ عَشِيرَةُ الحَنُوكِيِّينَ. وَمِنْ فَلُّو عَشِيرَةُ الفَلُّوِيِّينَ.
