A nd when the donkey saw the Angel of the Lord, she lay down under Balaam; so Balaam’s anger was aroused, and he struck the donkey with his staff.

وَحِينَ رَأى الحِمارُ مَلاكَ اللهِ ، بَرَكَ تَحتَ بَلعامَ. فَغَضِبَ بَلعامُ وَضَرَبَ الحِمارَ بِعَصاهُ.
