A nd when the ass saw the angel of the Lord, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff.

وَحِينَ رَأى الحِمارُ مَلاكَ اللهِ ، بَرَكَ تَحتَ بَلعامَ. فَغَضِبَ بَلعامُ وَضَرَبَ الحِمارَ بِعَصاهُ.
