T hen Elijah said to him, “Elisha, stay here, please, for the Lord has sent me on to Jericho.” But he said, “ As the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you!” So they came to Jericho.

And Elijah saith to him, `Elisha, abide, I pray thee, here, for Jehovah hath sent me to Jericho;' and he saith, `Jehovah liveth, and thy soul liveth, if I leave thee;' and they come in to Jericho.
