A nd the king and his men went to Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, who spoke to David, saying, “You shall not come in here; but the blind and the lame will repel you,” thinking, “David cannot come in here.”

Entonces marchó el rey con sus hombres a Jerusalén contra los jebuseos que moraban en aquella tierra; los cuales hablaron a David, diciendo: Tú no entrarás acá, pues aun los ciegos y los cojos te echarán (queriendo decir: David no puede entrar acá).
