T hen Midianite traders passed by; so the brothers pulled Joseph up and lifted him out of the pit, and sold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels of silver. And they took Joseph to Egypt.

Când s-au apropiat negustorii midianiţi, fraţii săi l-au scos pe Iosif afară din fântână şi l-au vândut ismaeliţilor cu douăzeci de şecheli de argint. Aceştia l-au dus pe Iosif în Egipt.
