e ntonces Israel envió mensajeros al rey de Edom diciéndole: “Permítanos, le rogamos, pasar por su tierra,” pero el rey de Edom no los escuchó. También enviaron mensajeros al rey de Moab pero él no consintió, así que Israel permaneció en Cades.

Then Israel sent messengers to the king of Edom, saying, Let us, we pray, pass through your land, but the king of Edom would not listen. Also they sent to the king of Moab, but he would not consent. So Israel remained at Kadesh.
