И зраел прати посланици до едомския цар да му кажат: Позволи ми да прекося земята ти. А едомският цар не искаше и да чуе. Израел прати вест и до моавския цар; но и той не се съгласи. Затова Израел остана в Кадис.

Then Israel sent messengers to the king of Edom, saying, Let us, we pray, pass through your land, but the king of Edom would not listen. Also they sent to the king of Moab, but he would not consent. So Israel remained at Kadesh.
