P orque reedificó los lugares altos que su padre Ezequías había destruido; levantó también altares a Baal e hizo una Asera (deidad femenina), como había hecho Acab, rey de Israel, y adoró a todo el ejército de los cielos y los sirvió.

For he built up again the high places which Hezekiah, his father, had destroyed, and he raised up altars for Baal and made a grove, as Ahab, king of Israel, had done; and he worshipped all the host of heaven and served those things.
