“ Now therefore, my lord, as the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, since the Lord has restrained you from shedding blood, and from avenging yourself by your own hand, now then let your enemies and those who seek evil against my lord, be as Nabal.

Ora dunque, mio signore, com’è vero che vive il Signore e che anche tu vivi, il Signore ti ha impedito di spargere sangue e di farti giustizia con le tue proprie mani. I tuoi nemici e quelli che vogliono fare del male al mio signore siano come Nabal!
