H e acted valiantly and defeated the Amalekites, and delivered Israel from the hands of those who plundered them.

كانَ شاوُلُ شُجاعاً جِدّاً. فَخَلَّصَ بَنِي إسْرائِيلَ مِنْ جَمِيعِ أعْدائِهِمِ الَّذِينَ حاوَلُوا أنْ يَنهَبُوها. وَهَزَمَ شاوُلُ حَتَّى عَمالِيقَ.
