T hen the people of Nineveh believed in God; and they called a fast and put on sackcloth from the greatest to the least of them.

فَآمَنَ شَعبُ نِينَوَى بِاللهِ وَأعلَنُوا أنَّهُمْ سَيَصُومُونَ وَيَلبِسُونَ الخَيشَ. وَقَدْ فَعَلُوا ذَلِكَ كُلُّهُمْ، مِنْ كَبِيرِهِمْ إلَى صَغِيرِهِمْ.
