N ow the upper chambers were smaller because the galleries took more space away from them than from the lower and middle ones in the building.

وَكانَتْ حُجُراتُ الطَّوابِقِ العُليا أقَلَّ عَرْضاً مِنْ حُجُراتِ الطَّوابِقِ السُّفلَى، لِأنَّ الشُّرُفاتِ تَحتاجُ إلَى مَساحَةٍ أكبَرَ.
