N ow the upper chambers were shorter; for the galleries took away from these, more than from the lower and the middlemost, in the building.

وَكانَتْ حُجُراتُ الطَّوابِقِ العُليا أقَلَّ عَرْضاً مِنْ حُجُراتِ الطَّوابِقِ السُّفلَى، لِأنَّ الشُّرُفاتِ تَحتاجُ إلَى مَساحَةٍ أكبَرَ.
