W hen you offer your gifts, when you cause your sons to pass through the fire, you are defiling yourselves with all your idols to this day. And shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live,” declares the Lord God, “I will not be inquired of by you.

‘Cuando ofrecéis vuestras ofrendas, cuando hacéis pasar por el fuego a vuestros hijos, os contamináis con todos vuestros ídolos hasta el día de hoy. ¿Y me dejaré consultar yo por vosotros, casa de Israel? Vivo yo’ —declara el Señor Dios — ‘que no me dejaré consultar por vosotros.
