B ut the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho, and all his army was scattered from him.

فَطارَدَ الجَيشُ البابِلِيُّ المَلِكَ صِدْقِيّا، وَأدرَكُوُهُ بِالقُرْبِ مِنْ سُهُولِ أرِيحا. أمّا جُنُودُ صِدْقِيّا فَتَرَكُوهُ جَمِيعاً وَهَرَبُوا.
