B ut the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king and took Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.

فَطارَدَ الجَيشُ البابِلِيُّ المَلِكَ صِدْقِيّا، وَأدرَكُوُهُ بِالقُرْبِ مِنْ سُهُولِ أرِيحا. أمّا جُنُودُ صِدْقِيّا فَتَرَكُوهُ جَمِيعاً وَهَرَبُوا.
