T here were others who said, “We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards and our houses that we might get grain because of the famine.”

وَقالَ آخَرُونَ: «لَقَدْ قُمْنا بِرَهْنِ حُقُولِنا وَكُرُومِنا وَبُيُوتِنا لِنَستَدِينَ مالاً لِشِراءِ قَمْحٍ أثناءَ المَجاعَةِ.»
