Ezra 9:7 ~ Esdra 9:7

S ince the days of our fathers to this day we have been in great guilt, and on account of our iniquities we, our kings and our priests have been given into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity and to plunder and to open shame, as it is this day.

Dai giorni dei nostri padri fino al giorno d'oggi siamo stati grandemente colpevoli, e a motivo delle nostre iniquità noi, i nostri re e i nostri sacerdoti siamo stati dati in mano dei re delle nazioni straniere, in balìa della spada, dell'esilio, del saccheggio e dell'obbrobrio, come è al presente.
