T he Philistines also had invaded the cities of the lowland and of the Negev of Judah, and had taken Beth-shemesh, Aijalon, Gederoth, and Soco with its villages, Timnah with its villages, and Gimzo with its villages, and they settled there.

Filistenii au năvălit în cetăţile lui Iuda din zona deluroasă şi din Neghev, au cucerit Bet-Şemeş, Aialon, Ghederot, Soho cu satele dimprejurul ei, Timna cu satele dimprejurul ei, precum şi Ghimzo cu satele dimprejurul ei şi s-au aşezat în ele.
