T hen certain persons went and told David about the men. And he sent to meet them, for the men were greatly humiliated. And the king said, “ Stay at Jericho until your beards grow, and then return.”

Los mensajeros se fueron, y cuando David se enteró de lo que les había sucedido, mando gente a que los recibieran, porque estaban muy ofendidos. Pero el rey mandó que les dijeran: «Quédense en Jericó hasta que les crezca la barba. Entonces volverán.»
