T he inhabitants of Jebus said to David, “You shall not enter here.” Nevertheless David captured the stronghold of Zion (that is, the city of David).

فَقالَ أهلُ يَبُوسَ لِداوُدَ: «لا يُمْكِنُكَ أنْ تَدْخُلَ مَدينَتَنا.» لَكِنَّ داوُدَ اسْتَولَى عَلَى حِصْنِ صِهْيَوْنَ، الَّذِي يُدْعَى الآنَ: «مَدِينَةَ داوُدَ.»
