E lijah said to him, “Elisha, please stay here, for the Lord has sent me to Jericho.” But he said, “ As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they came to Jericho.

Então Elias lhe disse: “Fique aqui, Eliseu, pois o Senhor me enviou a Jericó”. Ele respondeu: “Juro pelo nome do Senhor e por tua vida que não te deixarei ir só”. Desceram então a Jericó.
