N a patua ana e Hohua te whenua katoa, te whenua pukepuke, te tonga, te mania me nga pukenga wai, me nga kingi katoa hoki o reira; kahore i waiho e ia tetahi morehu: engari i huna katoatia e ia nga mea whai manawa, i rite tonu ki ta Ihowa, ki ta te Atua o Iharaira, i whakahau ai.

So Joshua smote all the country of the hills and of the Negev and of the vale and of the springs and all their kings; he left no one remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as the LORD God of Israel had commanded.
