I na, kia mohio koe, ehara i te tika nou e hoatu nei e Ihowa, e tou Atua, tenei whenua pai ki a koe, kia tangohia e koe; no te mea he iwi kaki maro koe.

Know therefore, that Jehovah thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.
