N a ka mea a Pirato ki a ia, He kingi oti koe? ka whakahokia e Ihu, Kua korerotia mai na e koe he kingi ahau. Ko te mea tenei i whanau ai ahau: na tenei hoki ahau i haere mai ai ki te ao, hei kaiwhakaatu mo te pono. E whakarongo ana ki toku reo n ga tangata katoa o te pono.

Pilate therefore said to him, Thou art then a king? Jesus answered, Thou sayest, that I am a king. I have been born for this, and for this I have come into the world, that I might bear witness to the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice.
