A llora Pilato gli disse: «Dunque sei tu re?». Gesú rispose: «Tu dici giustamente che io sono re; per questo io sono nato e per questo sono venuto nel mondo: per rendere testimonianza alla verità; chiunque è per la verità ascolta la mia voce».

Pilate therefore said to him, Thou art then a king? Jesus answered, Thou sayest, that I am a king. I have been born for this, and for this I have come into the world, that I might bear witness to the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice.
