K ua pahuatia toku teneti, ko aku aho motumotu katoa: kua rito atu aku tamariki i toku taha, kua kore: kahore ake he tangata hei whakamaro i toku teneti, hei whakaara i oku kakahu arai.

My tent (home) is taken by force and plundered, and all my cords are broken. My children have gone forth from me, and they are no more; there is no one to stretch forth my tent any more and to set up my curtains.
