E s zog aber herauf Nahas, der Ammoniter, und belagerte Jabes in Gilead. Und alle Männer zu Jabes sprachen zu Nahas: Mache einen Bund mit uns, so wollen wir dir dienen.

¶ Then Nahash, the Ammonite, came up and encamped against Jabeshgilead. And all the men of Jabesh said unto Nahash, Make a covenant with us, and we will serve thee.
