J osua sprach zu dem Volk: Ihr könnt dem HERRN nicht dienen; denn er ist ein heiliger Gott, ein eifriger Gott, der eurer Übertretungen und Sünden nicht schonen wird.

And Joshua said to the people, You cannot serve the Lord, for He is a holy God; He is a jealous God. He will not forgive your transgressions or your sins.
