D enn dahin arbeiten wir auch und werden geschmäht, daß wir auf den lebendigen Gott gehofft haben, welcher ist der Heiland aller Menschen, sonderlich der Gläubigen.

With a view to this we toil and strive, suffer reproach, because we have hope on the living God, Who is the Savior (Preserver, Maintainer, Deliverer) of all men, especially of those who believe (trust in, rely on, and adhere to Him).
