D enn solches soll mir sein wie das Wasser Noahs, da ich schwur, daß die Wasser Noahs sollten nicht mehr über den Erdboden gehen. Also habe ich geschworen, daß ich nicht über dich zürnen noch dich schelten will.

For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so I have sworn that I would not be wroth again with thee, nor reprehend thee.
